About the role

The role supports Santander’s Structured Finance Group (GDF) in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on fund finance, infrastructure, project finance, real estate, asset finance, securitisation and other structured solutions. The associate will work on origination, execution, structuring, documentation, financial analysis and ongoing portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior colleagues and internal stakeholders to promote and develop Santander’s Structured Finance Group franchise in Asia Pacific.
• Prepare internal credit papers and coordinate due diligence, term‑sheet negotiation, documentation and financial closing activities.
• Develop and operate complex financial models, run sensitivity analyses and adjust models as deals evolve.
• Structure and evaluate transactions through financial projections, scenario analysis, risk and return assessment, including tax, legal and regulatory considerations.
• Supervise post‑closing activities such as SPV management, cash‑flow monitoring, valuation and provisioning for the loan portfolio.
• Assist with business origination and preparation of marketing materials.
• Support global coverage by collaborating with stakeholders in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and Latin America.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or Engineering (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in infrastructure/project finance, corporate finance, M&A or financial advisory, with proven financial modelling experience.
• Track record of successful financial closings with corporates, financial sponsors or government entities; industry network is a plus.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, logical reasoning and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Interdisciplinary expertise covering financing, tax, accounting, financial modelling, due diligence and documentation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated leadership in collaborative settings.
