Vice President, Business Management, Global Banking Asia

About the role

The Business Management Vice President supports Santander’s Asia operations from the COO Office, acting as a first‑line defence to ensure smooth branch processes, risk monitoring and alignment with strategic objectives. Based in Hong Kong, the role combines project execution, process optimisation and partnership building across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve business processes, anticipate requirements and implement solutions.
• Lead continuous reviews of processes and develop optimisation strategies.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share findings and recommendations.
• Perform detailed requirements analysis, document outcomes and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Gather information from diverse stakeholders, produce reports and support decision‑making.
• Prioritise initiatives based on business needs and monitor project deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Support revenue forecasting, pipeline management, budgeting and logistical coordination of planning sessions, agendas and action tracking.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, management or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in banking, top‑tier consulting or accounting, preferably with debt financing products such as project finance or syndicated loans.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Proficiency in written English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Proven ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
