Associate Director (Finance)

About the role

The Associate Director (Finance) will lead end‑to‑end financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with HKFRS, IFRS and GAAP. This senior finance business partner will drive process optimisation, support strategic decisions and oversee audit, tax and treasury functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger, AP/AR, intercompany reconciliations, Capex tracking and group consolidation.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial planning & analysis, period‑end closing and statutory reporting.
• Ensure accurate disbursements, robust internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Drive BI tool implementation and system enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate year‑end audit, tax planning and treasury activities.
• Evaluate business cases, conduct financial due diligence and provide actionable insights.
• Develop, monitor and benchmark KPIs; prepare dashboards and management reports.
• Maintain finance policies, liaise with bankers, auditors, consultants and shareholders.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting or related field; CPA or ACCA qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in statutory audit, accounting or commercial finance, preferably in a reputable financial institution.
• Independent, detail‑oriented with strong analytical, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive team player committed to continuous development.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (including VBA/Macros).
• BI and data‑visualisation tools.
• Major finance ERP systems and ERP implementation experience.
