About the role
We are seeking a motivated Commis to join the kitchen team at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Working in the staff canteen, you will support the daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, cleanliness and service under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the smooth running of day‑to‑day kitchen procedures.
- Prepare and maintain mise‑en‑place for service.
- Keep refrigerators, workstations and service areas neat and hygienic.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to balance workload.
- Carry out any reasonable duties assigned by the department head.
Required profile
- Relevant culinary academic background or prior kitchen experience.
- Willingness to learn with a positive mindset.
- Good spoken English and Chinese.
