Data Center Security Specialist – AWS

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a motivated, customer‑obsessed professional to join the Data Center Security Team in Hong Kong. You will provide hands‑on support for physical security operations across the AWS HKG Cluster, ensuring the safety and integrity of our data centre facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement AWS security policies and procedures within the data centre environment.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day physical security operations, including guard force management and contractor oversight.
• Conduct testing, audits, and reviews of the Physical Security Program.
• Support incident response and maintain documentation for security activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to continuously improve security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience overseeing security operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn new skills and build relationships.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CCTV systems.
• Proficiency in access‑control and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience working in a control‑room environment.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office tools.
