Dental Officer – Senior Lecturer Rank

About the role

The Dental Officer will support oral health education and clinical services at the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. Reporting to senior management, the role combines workshop supervision, dental screening, programme design and quality assurance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising oral care workshops and seminars.
• Provide dental screening and emergency services to promote hygiene and preventive care.
• Support senior management in programme design, validation and quality‑assurance policy implementation.
• Design educational kits to promote oral health.
• Supervise Dental Hygienists and Dental Surgery Assistants.
• Assist the Senior Dental Officer in preparing interim and annual performance reports.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Dentistry, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
• Registered Dentist under Hong Kong’s Dentists Registration Ordinance with a valid practising certificate.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional development and industry linkages.
• Strong administrative, interpersonal, communication and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent presentation skills and high proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua preferred).
