Financial Controller – HK Listed Company

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the finance function of a well‑established Hong Kong listed company. This senior position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective treasury management while supporting the Board and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, consolidation, and month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with HKEX Listing Rules, HKFRS/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage annual and interim audits, statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and treasury activities.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management and corporate governance frameworks.
• Prepare and present reports for the Board, Audit Committee and senior management.
• Drive finance process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Qualified accountant (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent).
• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a Hong Kong listed company.
• Strong knowledge of HKEX Listing Rules, HKFRS/IFRS and corporate governance.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Fluent in English; Cantonese and Mandarin preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Mainland China.

• Advanced Excel skills.
