IT Project Manager – Financial Services

About the role

The IT Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of technology and business application solutions across the project lifecycle. The role requires overseeing scope, cost, quality, resources and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful outcomes for financial services or insurance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, track and manage project budgets, plans, timelines and scope.
• Manage project resources, including recruiting, coaching and advising team members.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to define business requirements.
• Lead development teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
• Define test plans and ensure defect‑free products before User Acceptance Testing.
• Facilitate UAT, develop rollout plans and procedures.
• Prepare and present cost‑benefit analyses and project status to steering committees.
• Identify and manage project risks and competing priorities throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Trilingual proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English with strong presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a large‑scale, multi‑platform environment.
• PMP or PMI certification and Agile knowledge are preferred.
