IT Support Engineer – Global On-Premise IT

About the role

Amazon is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join its Global On‑Premise IT team in Hong Kong. You will provide hands‑on desktop support to Amazon employees, ensuring their technology works smoothly in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person desktop support for Amazon staff in the Hong Kong office.
• Manage routine processes such as new‑hire onboarding, computer lifecycle, asset management, imaging, warranty support and hardware recycling.
• Collaborate with internal IT service owners to meet system SLAs and participate in an on‑call rotation for production issues.
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures that guarantee reliability and optimal performance of user hardware and local services.
• Research, procure, evaluate and deploy new hardware and software solutions.
• Coordinate with internal and external service providers to resolve support requests efficiently.

Required profile

• 3+ years of corporate Windows, macOS or Linux support experience.
• 3+ years of troubleshooting in a multi‑user, high‑availability environment.
• 2+ years of PC repair, deployment and liquidation experience.
• 2+ years of client, server and network service delivery experience.
• 2+ years of networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, TCP/IP).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS and Linux OS deployment.
• LAN troubleshooting and support.
• AV system troubleshooting, especially complex integrated setups.
• PC hardware repair and warranty management.
• Asset management and computer imaging.
• Networking protocols: DNS, DHCP, SSL, TCP/IP.
• Video‑conference and tele‑conference equipment support.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Red Hat Linux, Microsoft hardware installation, AWS).
