Low-Level Software Engineer (C++)

About the role
We are looking for engineers to power Hudson River Trading's continued expansion into global markets. Based in our Hong Kong office, you will play a critical role in establishing HRT's presence in Asia‑Pacific markets and collaborate closely with algorithmic and operations teams to ensure trading success.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end process of entering new markets and managing market changes over time.
- Optimize trading performance in existing markets while expanding into previously untapped regions.
- Gain broad exposure to both technical and business aspects of HRT's trading operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem‑analysis skills with the capacity to quickly fix issues and improve code.
Required skills
- C++ programming.
- Proficiency with UNIX operating systems and command‑line interfaces.
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
- Experience developing market data and order‑entry systems (a plus).
