Offline Editor

About the role

WPP Production is seeking an experienced Offline Editor to craft compelling video content for leading brands. The role involves transforming raw footage into polished stories while collaborating closely with producers, creative directors, and account teams.

Key responsibilities

• Edit raw and stock footage into engaging videos, creating rough cuts that follow briefs, scripts, or storyboards.
• Add temporary music and sound effects to rough cuts to guide final audio production.
• Provide basic online editing and visual‑effects support during peak periods.
• Utilise AI‑assisted tools for footage organisation, transcription, captioning and workflow efficiency.
• Follow WPP Production processes, file‑naming conventions, archiving and media‑management guidelines.
• Collaborate with producers, creative directors and Account Services to ensure edits meet client expectations.
• Identify technical or continuity issues early and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare project files, timelines, EDLs and XMLs for hand‑over to online editors, colourists and motion‑graphics teams.
• Occasionally attend shoots to review footage and advise on continuity.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of video‑editing experience in advertising, documentaries or drama productions.
• Proven ability to work independently while adhering to strict brand and quality standards.
• Strong collaborative mindset and problem‑solving skills.
