Regional Air Procurement & Capacity Manager

About the role

The client, a globally recognised logistics and transportation provider, is looking for an experienced Regional Air Procurement & Capacity Manager to lead airline partnerships, negotiate Block Space Agreements and manage charter procurement activities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement and management of airline capacity, negotiating and executing Block Space Agreements (BSA) to secure competitive pricing and long‑term partnership value.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners, handling commercial discussions, contract renewals, performance reviews and capacity optimisation initiatives.
• Manage full and partial charter programmes, including sourcing, contract negotiation, operational coordination and performance monitoring.
• Analyse market trends, trade‑lane demand and capacity requirements to develop effective procurement strategies and ensure space availability during peak and off‑peak seasons.
• Collaborate with commercial, network and operations teams to align capacity planning with business growth objectives and service commitments.
• Monitor airline and charter provider performance, resolve capacity‑related challenges and drive continuous improvements in cost efficiency and reliability.
• Oversee contract governance, compliance and approval processes for all airline and charter agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Aviation or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in air freight forwarding, airline management, capacity procurement, network planning or charter operations.
• Proven experience negotiating and managing Block Space Agreements, airline contracts and charter arrangements with major airline partners.
• Strong understanding of air freight market dynamics, trade‑lane development, airline pricing structures and capacity management strategies.
• Experience working closely with airlines, commercial teams and operations stakeholders in a fast‑paced logistics or express environment.
• Commercial acumen to evaluate capacity utilisation, procurement costs and profitability opportunities.
