Senior Rust Engineer – Performance Engineering

About the role

Binance is looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to drive performance engineering across its high‑throughput backend services. You will design reliable, scalable systems that handle massive traffic spikes while ensuring low latency and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design highly reliable services capable of handling significant traffic fluctuations.
• Monitor backend performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective optimizations.
• Develop scalable backend systems, services, and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems.
• Proficient in Rust (deep knowledge of ownership, lifetimes, safety) or C++ with ability to write robust, efficient code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• System‑level performance optimization (caching, memory pools, object reuse)
• Network programming (TCP, UDP Multicast, epoll, io_uring)

• Performance analysis tools (perf, FlameGraph, Cachegrind, Criterion)
• Production deployment on Linux environments
