Accountant – Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping (Securities)

About the role

Join a leading technology‑driven financial institution in Hong Kong as an Accountant focused on financial reporting, bookkeeping, and securities. You will work within a collaborative Financial Reporting team that values digital innovation, continuous learning, and work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing workflows, preparing ledger entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management accounts and statutory reporting packages in line with HKFRS.
• Perform financial variance analysis, expense reviews and compile supporting schedules for group reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during audit cycles and statutory tax filings.
• Maintain accounting documentation, audit trails and support internal control compliance.
• Participate in system‑enhancement projects to automate accounting procedures and improve data accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Member or finalist of CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting body.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting or audit within a brokerage, financial institution or Big 4 firm.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HKFRS accounting standards.
• Familiarity with SFC regulatory framework (advantageous).
• Ability to conduct financial variance analysis.
