Operations Training Specialist – 36‑Month Contract

About the role

This role is part of a professional team in the Flight Operations Department, working with flight crew and ground staff to maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety. As an Operations Training Specialist you will conduct technical training courses for flight crew and ground engineers, and design, maintain and produce training materials and courseware.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training courses in line with HKCAD and EASA standards.
• Act as knowledge examiner and practical assessor when approved.
• Conduct practical training while ensuring safety of students and aircraft.
• Coordinate and manage aircraft visits required for hands‑on training.
• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, classrooms and training aids.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training manuals and compile examination questions.
• Provide technical advice within the scope of training and preserve confidentiality of company information.
• Support the Deputy Technical Training Manager and deputise when required.

Required profile

• At least 5 years experience as a licensed Aircraft Engineer with maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a technical training environment.
• Aircraft Maintenance Licence (or equivalent) and Certificate of Recognition for a large commercial aircraft.
• Approved Flight Crew Technical Instructor and Ground Engineer Technical Instructor qualifications.
• Post‑secondary non‑tertiary education with a recognised certificate in training delivery or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Knowledge of EASA/CAD 147/Part 66 regulations.
• Ability to construct digital flight‑crew and engineer courses.
• Capability to develop level‑3 examination questions to EASA and CAD standards.
• Practical aircraft handling for engineer training.
