Project Engineer – Preschool & Fashion Toys

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join the Preschool & Fashion Engineering team at Hasbro. You will own the engineering development and delivery of safe, high‑quality toys from concept through production launch for brands such as Peppa Pig, My Little Pony and Baby Alive.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering development activities for preschool and fashion product lines, from concept evaluation to market introduction.
• Partner with product design, project management, packaging, quality assurance and manufacturing partners to meet specifications, timelines and cost targets.
• Analyze build options, drive issue resolution, and support on‑site manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
• Identify cost‑reduction, material‑optimization and tooling‑efficiency opportunities and maintain product and tool BOMs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing or product engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of engineering experience in production or product development, preferably in the toy industry.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and presentation skills; fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering fundamentals and knowledge of plastic injection molding and product assembly.
• Experience with tool building, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Pro‑E, SolidWorks or other 3D‑modelling software.
• Familiarity with toy regulations and standards.
