Senior Tax & Business Advisory Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join Deloitte Private’s Tax & Business Advisory team in Hong Kong. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals, families and privately‑owned enterprises to design and deliver tax‑efficient strategies that support their growth and succession goals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify sustainable planning opportunities, analyse market trends and client pain points, and help clients meet compliance obligations and statutory deadlines.
• Apply technical tax knowledge throughout the project lifecycle, including client conversations and advisory deliverables.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients to uncover potential tax and succession issues and propose appropriate solutions.
• Analyse current and pending tax legislation across jurisdictions, leveraging Deloitte’s global network to provide tailored advice.
• Utilise research techniques and analytical skills to support fact‑based decision making.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency and enhance deliverables.
• Support the Deloitte Private initiative by contributing to service innovation for high‑growth private clients.
• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring timely execution, quality outcomes and stakeholder alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or legal qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a tax function within a CPA firm, tax authority or large corporation.
• Strong technical expertise serving privately‑owned enterprises.
• In‑depth understanding of tax policies, rules and regulations.
• Excellent analytical ability and commitment to high‑quality client service.
• Strong consultation, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
