Property Officer I

About the role

JLL is hiring a Property Officer I in Hong Kong to provide frontline operational and administrative support for the management of residential properties. Working under the direction of a Technical Manager or Senior Officer, the role keeps day-to-day activities aligned with resident satisfaction, property standards, safety protocols and company policies. The position is primarily on-site at residential properties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine interior and exterior inspections of residential units, common areas and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards or lease violations.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor services such as plumbing, electrical repairs, pest control, landscaping and cleaning in vacant or occupied units.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests and emergencies (water leaks, lockouts, HVAC issues) and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Monitor compliance with community rules, local housing regulations, statutory regulations and safety codes (fire extinguisher checks, smoke detector testing).
• Maintain logs and update work orders in property management applications.
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries professionally and escalating complex issues as needed.
• Assist with basic administrative duties, including tendering, procurement and report preparation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in property management, business or a related field is a plus.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in residential property management or facilities management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a resident-focused attitude.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for multi-site portfolios.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with property management applications.
