Associate Java Developer – Global Transaction Banking

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Java Developer to join our Global Transaction Banking team, focusing on payments and cash management solutions. You will work on designing, building and maintaining Java micro‑services that support critical banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java micro‑services using Spring Boot.
• Build REST APIs and integrate them via messaging queues such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Contribute to architecture and integration design.
• Automate DevOps tasks with Python (e.g., PyInfra) and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with PostgreSQL (or similar RDBMS) ensuring efficient data handling.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide production support, including compensated on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners and management.
• Lead code‑quality initiatives, unit testing, Git best practices and documentation.
• Manage vendor relationships for issue tracking and delivery.

Required profile

• Strong Java expertise, preferably with Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Expertise in Git version control.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Strong analytical and delivery mindset.
• Fluent English communication; autonomous and a team player.
