Data Centre Operator – 24/7 Shift

About the role

Lenovo is seeking a Data Centre Operator to join its global infrastructure team. The role involves monitoring and maintaining data centre facilities, responding to incidents, and supporting users across a 24/7 shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee data centre infrastructure including power, cooling, fire suppression systems and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
• Act as the first point of escalation, coordinating responses to incidents and assisting in problem resolution.
• Manage visitor entry and equipment movement to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
• Provide timely assistance to users by handling inquiries, requests, and troubleshooting issues.
• Assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and preparation of operational reports.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or above in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data centre operations (candidates with less experience may also be considered).
• Customer‑oriented with passion, patience, and caring attitude.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with positive attitude, proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation.
