Director, Corporate Banking

About the role

The Director, Corporate Banking will drive new relationship acquisition and manage existing corporate clients in line with the Hong Kong and Singapore banking strategies. The role involves originating, structuring and recommending credit facilities while cross‑selling a broad suite of trade finance, cash management, treasury and investment banking solutions across the Mashreq platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities with new and existing corporate banking clients to achieve revenue and asset growth targets.
• Lead deal execution with product partners and internal stakeholders, offering loans, trade, treasury, cash management, debt capital markets, and structured trade solutions.
• Oversee all credit aspects of the portfolio, including financial analysis, credit proposals, capital allocation approvals, regular reviews and early problem detection.
• Create and implement marketing plans for target clients, building relationships at multiple levels within client organisations.
• Ensure strict adherence to compliance, audit, governance and risk‑control policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of relationship‑management experience in corporate and investment banking.
• Experience with trade finance, cash management, capital markets, FX/derivatives and corporate finance, preferably with Greater China SOEs/POEs or large Hong Kong conglomerates.
• Strong credit assessment, risk‑management and report‑writing abilities.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
