Director, Internal Audit

About the role

The Director of Internal Audit serves as a strategic advisor to the Board, Audit Committee and Executive Leadership Team, overseeing the integrity, efficiency and effectiveness of the Group’s internal control environment across all business units globally.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership – develop and execute a global internal audit strategy, act as trusted partner to the Audit Committee and Board, and lead special investigations and ad‑hoc reviews.
• Governance and Risk Assurance – oversee audit programmes across financial, operational and compliance areas, identify emerging risks and present findings to senior governance bodies.
• Stakeholder Engagement – work closely with business unit leaders to strengthen control environments and communicate audit issues in clear, board‑level language.
• Leadership & Team Development – build and lead a high‑performing global audit team, coordinate with external auditors, and promote a culture of transparency and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of internal audit or risk management experience, including at least 8 years in senior leadership roles within multinational organisations.
• Proven experience in battery, audio or industrial manufacturing sectors, with exposure to plant operations, supply chain and commercial activities.
• Demonstrated ability to advise Boards and Audit Committees and deliver high‑impact reports.
• Deep knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management and international auditing standards.
