Event Specialist

About the role

The Event Specialist is responsible for the seamless execution of group events at our Hong Kong property. You will coordinate all on‑site details, develop checklists and itineraries, and act as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site details for group events, creating and following detailed checklists and itineraries.
• Serve as the main contact for clients, outside vendors, meeting planners, and other stakeholders.
• Design, confirm, and communicate room layouts and set‑up requirements for special events.
• Enter, retrieve, and update event information in computer databases and handle related documentation.
• Operate standard office equipment, prepare weekly payroll paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Enforce company safety, security, appearance, and confidentiality standards.
• Provide courteous guest service, answer phones professionally, and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related event or hospitality experience.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 lb without assistance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer database entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
