IT Operations Team Lead

About the role

At Fleet Management we power a global maritime operation with resilient IT services. The IT Operations Team supports 600+ vessels and 20 offices worldwide. As the IT Operations Team Lead you will own end‑to‑end service outcomes, turn data into decisions and champion a Customer‑First mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day IT operations delivery, safeguarding SLAs across incidents, problems and changes.
• Enforce and continuously refine processes and KPIs to improve speed, quality, security and cost‑effectiveness.
• Chair the Change Approval Board, assess risk, approve changes and ensure clear rollback plans.
• Produce and present actionable performance reports and drive post‑incident remediation.
• Mentor and coach team members through regular 1:1s and growth plans.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with system administrators, security and regional IT.
• Design and scale automation workflows using Power Automate and similar tools.
• Maintain operational dashboards in Grafana and use monitoring/analytics for proactive issue detection.
• Define and deliver training on Microsoft 365 to reduce ticket volume and promote self‑service.

Required profile

• 3+ years leading an IT Operations team with measurable service improvements.
• Strong track record in incident, problem and change management, including running a Change Approval Board.
• Demonstrated people‑development experience through coaching, feedback and growth planning.
• Proven automation leadership using Power Automate (or similar) and operational dashboards.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication, calm under pressure.
• Experience managing vendors, reviewing SLAs and driving cost optimisation.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
• Power Automate workflow design.
• Grafana for operational dashboards.
• ITIL process knowledge (Change, Incident, Problem Management).
• Endpoint/asset management tools such as Desktop Central or Intune.
