Senior QA Engineer – Digital & Mobile Platforms

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead quality engineering for client‑facing digital and mobile platforms of a global investment bank. You will define the overall QA strategy, drive test automation, and champion quality across web, iOS, Android, APIs and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Define, own and execute comprehensive QA strategies, test plans and automation roadmaps for digital channels, native mobile apps and backend APIs.
• Design, maintain and scale test automation frameworks (UI, API, Mobile) using modern tools and coding standards.
• Lead, mentor and coach QA engineers and SDETs across Agile sprint cycles, managing test planning, release quality and defect triage.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable shift‑left testing.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps and Business stakeholders to align quality goals with strategic outcomes and manage risk.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on QA experience, including at least 3 years in a QA lead or team‑management role.
• Proven experience delivering QA for large‑scale enterprise digital platforms and native mobile applications (iOS & Android).
• Strong coding proficiency in Java or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience in investment banking or broader financial services environments is strongly preferred.

• Automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, XCUITest, Espresso.
• API testing frameworks: Postman, REST Assured.
• CI/CD integration: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, cloud environments.
• Test management: Jira, Xray, Zephyr.
• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Database verification: SQL.
• Understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture.
• Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
