Project Engineer – Airport Planning

About the role

Artelia Airports is expanding its Hong Kong Business Unit and seeks a Project Engineer specialized in Airport Planning. The role involves conducting airport planning exercises for regional projects, applying technical expertise, benchmark data, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client objectives and required data to define planning strategies.
• Conduct integrated airport planning studies, including market analysis, traffic forecasting, and system capacity assessment.
• Assist architects and master planners with functional layout design for airport facilities.
• Assess business plans and investment costs, producing reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, partners, and internal/external experts as project coordinator.
• Develop and update planning tools, methodologies, and stay current with industry trends.
• Participate in proposal preparation and contribute to the Airport Planning Practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with independent judgment.
• Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• High interest in the airport industry and eagerness to learn.
• Familiarity with ICAO/IATA regulations is a plus.
• Excellent written and presentation skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with traffic forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of flow‑simulation tools such as CAST, ARCPORT, or Airtop.
