Senior Manager – Corporate Tax – Financial Services

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate/Manager to join its Financial Services Tax team. The role involves advising financial services clients on corporate tax matters, supporting M&A transactions, and shaping tax strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to banking, insurance and asset management clients.
• Identify tax risks in M&A deals and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with clients’ in‑house tax teams to improve tax risk management.
• Develop and communicate tax viewpoints on global trends such as BEPS and Pillar Two.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and fostering development.
• Utilise data analytics and tax technology to enhance delivery efficiency.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Qualified member of a recognised accounting or tax professional body.
• 5‑8 years of progressive corporate tax experience, preferably within financial services.
• Strong written and spoken English; Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.

• Corporate tax knowledge for financial services sectors.
• Experience with tax compliance, advisory and M&A matters.
• Ability to analyse complex tax proposals and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
