Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Finance to take full ownership of the finance function for a well‑established international organisation in Hong Kong. This hands‑on, highly visible leadership role works closely with the Executive Director, senior leadership team and the Board to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and overall financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance, KPIs, revenue streams and costs, identifying risks and opportunities and providing actionable recommendations.
• Act as a strong business partner to the Executive Director and department heads, challenging assumptions and supporting key decisions.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, analysis and forward‑looking projections for senior leadership and the Board.
• Manage and supervise external providers responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and related finance activities.
• Coordinate the annual audit and ensure compliance with financial, statutory, tax and administrative requirements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in finance, including FP&A, controlling and business partnering.
• Proven ability to turn financial information into clear business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing external accounting, payroll and audit service providers.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Xero accounting software.
