Software Developer – Front Office Pricing & Risk

About the role

Join a global technology team that builds high‑performance systems for the Equity business. You will act as the main technical liaison for traders, delivering robust pricing and risk solutions while supporting day‑to‑day P&L inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications that serve front‑office pricing and risk needs.
• Provide timely support to traders on pricing, risk, and P&L issues.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts, front‑office users, and technology peers across Hong Kong, Paris and Bangalore.
• Translate business requirements into well‑architected technical solutions aligned with front‑office expectations.
• Contribute to a global development and support organization, ensuring code quality and reliability.

• Analytical mindset and ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more OOP languages – preferably Java (8/11/17+) or .NET/ASP.NET.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and issue tracking (Jira).
• Knowledge of design principles, patterns, and cloud‑native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
