Tax Partner – US Tax & Private Client Advisory (Hong Kong)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced US Tax leader to become the founding Tax Partner of a private credit investment firm in Hong Kong. In this senior position you will own the US tax consulting practice for high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trusts, driving growth and delivering sophisticated cross‑border tax strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage your own book of business and client network to generate revenue aligned with our alternative investment ecosystem.
• Provide advanced US tax consulting, optimization and cross‑border planning for individuals, families, trusts and estates, integrating tax goals with investment objectives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day tax operations, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance for US individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary returns.
• Collaborate with investment and operations teams to identify tax opportunities across fund structures, portfolio companies and estate planning.
• Manage the practice’s P&L, steering profitability and scaling the private‑client tax offering.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years at a reputable accounting or tax firm, specializing in US tax consulting and cross‑border matters.
• Own a portable book of business and an active client network in the private‑wealth segment.
• Hold an active CPA license.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
