Academic Coach – Math & Science (Grades K-12)

About the role

A skilled and compassionate coach will provide individualized support to students in mathematics and sciences, while also building essential executive functioning skills. Working with students up to Grade 12, the coach designs and delivers tailored instruction that addresses academic gaps and the underlying organizational, planning, and self‑regulation challenges that impact learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group instruction in math and science aligned with each student's grade level, IEP, or learning plan.
• Assess individual strengths and challenges to develop personalized learning and support strategies.
• Explicitly teach executive functioning skills, including time management, organization, task initiation, working memory strategies, planning, and self‑monitoring.
• Adapt materials, pacing, and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning profiles such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and processing disorders.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure consistency and alignment of support.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback to families and stakeholders.
• Foster student confidence, independence, and self‑advocacy.

Required profile

• Teacher Registration in Hong Kong (SCRC).
• Prior teaching experience in an international school.
• Master’s degree.
