Accountant – AP/AR and Project Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a versatile and detail‑oriented Accountant to support our business across the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the local Finance Director, you will work closely with finance teams in Australia and the United Kingdom, handling both transactional and strategic finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate client invoices, including fees and rechargeable costs, and ensure timely time entry by client‑facing teams.
• Reconcile rechargeable costs, investigate project variances and submit detailed variance reports.
• Monitor project profitability, maintain Work in Progress (WIP) records, manage debtors and collections.
• Support management accounting activities such as budgeting, forecasting, balance‑sheet reconciliation and cash‑flow projections.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations, monthly control files and statutory reporting where applicable.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit processes and collaborate across teams for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role covering accounts payable and receivable.
• Experience in professional services or project‑based environments is preferred.
• Pursuing or holding a professional qualification such as ACCA or HKICPA.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
