Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the role

FGS Global, a global advisory firm advising CEOs, boards and leadership teams, is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join its Asia finance team in Hong Kong. The role supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the firm, with a focus on audit support, tax compliance and financial reporting across the Hong Kong, Singapore and China entities. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders and is comfortable in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting for the Asia entities, including revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closing duties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports.
• Support the statutory audit by keeping accurate financial records and providing documentation to auditors on time.
• Assist with tax filing in Hong Kong, Singapore and China, including GST/VAT compliance and corporate income tax.
• Contribute to process improvements in the Asia finance function and perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification, or progress toward one, is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in professional services or a multinational environment; experienced candidates will be considered for Senior Accountant.
• Experience supporting statutory audits and tax filing is preferred; familiarity with Singapore GST and China VAT filing is highly considered.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
• Treasury experience is a plus but not required.
