Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our finance team in day‑to‑day accounting operations. Reporting to the Accountant or Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoice booking, staff reimbursements and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain internal controls.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely month‑end closing.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Produce financial and management reports, perform reconciliations and conduct financial analysis.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors and regulators for annual audits, tax filings and other compliance requirements.
• Manage insurance renewal and related reporting.
• Support implementation and enhancement of procurement and Flex systems.
• Undertake ad‑hoc assignments as required.

Required profile

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Student member of HKICPA, ACCA or CPAA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting, finance or audit.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese.
• Strong communication, people‑management and facilitation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
