Assistant Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Hong Kong Metropolitan University is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Officer to support a range of specialised HR functions across the institution. This role will serve as a key point of contact for schools and offices, ensuring smooth HR operations and accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support in HR systems, compensation & benefits, performance management, talent cultivation, engagement, appointments, staff regulations, strategic initiatives and manpower planning.
• Deliver one‑stop HR services to schools and administrative offices.
• Assist with meetings, committee work and preparation of related documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date human resources records and databases.
• Compile HR‑related statistics and management reports.

Required profile

• Minimum five subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English, Chinese and Mathematics.
• Preferably a recognised degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua advantageous).
• Professional service attitude and good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
