Assistant Manager – Community Resilience (High‑risk Districts)

About the role

The Assistant Manager (Community Resilience) will lead and coordinate resilience programmes for high‑risk districts, helping vulnerable residents improve their disaster preparedness and response capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver workshops and activities that boost disaster preparedness for high‑risk populations and the general public.
• Facilitate small‑scale risk‑reduction initiatives in both rural and urban households and communities.
• Conduct home visits and needs assessments for service users involved in community‑resilience projects.
• Build and maintain partnerships with external agencies, government departments and internal teams.
• Manage logistics, reporting and administrative tasks, including funding proposals, budgeting and procurement.
• Supervise and guide staff and volunteers during workshops and community events.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Degree holder, preferably in Social Work.
• Two years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in community work, event/project management and volunteer coordination.
• Knowledge of community‑resilience concepts and participatory approaches is an advantage.
• Service‑oriented with strong interpersonal, networking and presentation abilities.
• Mature, independent, well‑organized and detail‑oriented.
• Self‑motivated with demonstrated team‑leadership skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard PC operations.
