Assistant Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Internal Audit will support the Group Internal Audit Department in delivering systematic, risk‑based assurance across Shangri-La’s hotel and resort portfolio. You will plan, execute and report on audit assignments, ensuring the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual audit assignments in line with the approved audit plan.
• Develop audit scopes, perform audit procedures and document workpapers according to GIA requirements and professional standards.
• Prepare and review audit reports, presenting findings and practical recommendations to hotel and senior management.
• Identify root causes of control gaps and work with management to design corrective action plans.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and conduct follow‑up reviews.
• Review the work of junior audit team members, providing on‑the‑job training and supervision.

Required profile

• Relevant audit or finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit methodology and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments within deadlines.
