Assistant Manager – Tax & Finance

About the role

FWD Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support tax compliance, advisory and international tax functions across multiple jurisdictions. The role will work closely with finance and business teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage profit‑tax compliance for Hong Kong, Macau, Bermuda and other jurisdictions, including preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
• Support financial statement disclosures related to taxation under IFRS.
• Provide tax advice on business initiatives, corporate restructuring, investments and cross‑border transactions.
• Evaluate tax implications of regulatory and accounting developments and review agreements from a tax perspective.
• Assist with transfer‑pricing compliance, documentation and monitoring of BEPS, Pillar Two and other international tax developments.
• Coordinate with group tax teams on cross‑border matters, tax residency, treaty and withholding tax issues.

Required profile

• CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 4–8 years of tax experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong, Macau and Bermuda corporate tax, Global Minimum Tax and insurance‑specific tax regimes.
• Familiarity with IFRS 17 and RBC regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
