Assistant Procurement Manager – IT Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Procurement Manager (IT Procurement) supports the Head of Procurement by acting as the business partner for all IT and digital transformation sourcing activities across HAECO Hong Kong and its affiliated companies. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations and procurement governance for software, hardware, cloud services and professional services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for IT, digital transformation and technology categories, developing category strategies and roadmaps.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations.
• Manage tender, RFP, RFQ processes and negotiate contracts for strategic procurements.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives while balancing operational and technical requirements.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract development for software, SaaS, hardware, cloud, cybersecurity and professional services.
• Monitor contract performance, renewal schedules and vendor obligations.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key technology suppliers, conduct performance reviews and risk assessments.
• Act as trusted procurement advisor to project teams, supporting procurement planning and budget optimisation.
• Coach and mentor procurement officers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Strong understanding of IT procurement processes and commercial contract management.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management and cost optimisation.
