Assistant Professor – Strategic Marketing Communication

About the role

The Department of Journalism and Communication at Hong Kong Chu Hai College is seeking a passionate Assistant Professor to join its newly launched MA in Strategic Marketing Communication. This full‑time position will involve teaching postgraduate students in a bilingual Mandarin‑English environment and contributing to the programme’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver postgraduate courses covering strategic marketing communication, branding, digital media and related subjects.
• Supervise student research projects, capstone assignments and provide academic mentorship.
• Participate in curriculum design, programme development and continuous improvement.
• Engage in scholarly research, industry collaborations and knowledge‑transfer activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Communication, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business or a related field.
• Minimum two years of tertiary‑level teaching experience.
• Extensive industry experience in strategic marketing communication or related areas.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (primary medium of instruction) and strong English communication skills.
