Assistant Purchasing Manager – E&M

About the role

The Assistant Purchasing Manager (E&M) will support the procurement function for electrical and mechanical equipment and materials within a leading construction contractor in Hong Kong. The role involves evaluating vendor proposals, managing supplier relationships and ensuring smooth contract administration throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Select and evaluate E&M equipment and material proposals to achieve best value for money.
• Oversee pre‑ and post‑contract administration for supply agreements, handling any contractual disputes.
• Manage existing suppliers and develop new supplier resources to support project needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in E&M procurement or project management, preferably with main contractors.
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Strong leadership, high attention to detail and professional integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using ERP or digital procurement systems.
