Assistant Test & Commissioning Engineer – Signalling

About the role

Alstom Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Assistant Test & Commissioning Engineer to support railway signalling projects for the MTR. The role involves preparing and executing testing activities, troubleshooting defects, and ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and deadline targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute testing activities for signalling systems under the direction of the hierarchy and Sub‑system T&C Leader.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects; provide return experience (REX) and ensure proper reporting in project tools.
• Maintain and calibrate test tools; support Verification & Validation (V&V) team and perform lab tests as required.
• Deliver commissioning reports and follow‑up on detected issues.
• Conduct safety briefings and act as CP(T) for night‑time work when needed.

Required profile

• Honours degree in electrical, electronics or embedded systems engineering.
• 4+ years experience in construction, engineering or transport infrastructure and commissioning.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and public holidays (night‑shift allowance provided).
• Good communication skills in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Valid driving licence; registered electrical worker and first‑aider preferred.
