Associate Consultant – Financial Advisory (Restructuring & Insolvency)

About the role

We are recruiting an Associate Consultant for our Hong Kong Financial Advisory team, focusing on Restructuring and Insolvency. You will work on a variety of challenging engagements, supporting the leadership team and gaining exposure to cross‑border assignments with our International Financial Centres.

Key responsibilities

• Work on restructuring and insolvency engagements on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Support a portfolio of restructuring and insolvency appointments.
• Assist with detailed financial and commercial analysis to identify key issues, challenges, opportunities and risks.
• Participate in receivership, liquidation, valuation analysis and modelling, and financial advisory mandates.
• Prepare client and court reports, presenting findings clearly.
• Produce high‑quality deliverables within planned timescales and contribute to client presentations.
• Conduct industry and business research as required.

Required profile

• Business proficiency in English; Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance‑related subject.
• Up to 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, restructuring or related professional services.
• ACCA/ACA/CPA qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, report writing and project management abilities.
• Professional discretion, integrity and flexibility to meet peak demands.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Valuation analysis and financial modelling.
• Financial statement analysis and extraction of insights from large data sets.
