BBQ Chef for 2‑Michelin‑Star Chinese Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a BBQ Chef to join a 2‑Michelin‑star Chinese restaurant in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes that meet the restaurant’s high quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, testing for doneness and quality.
• Prepare cold dishes and plate food in proper portions and receptacles.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen, tools, equipment and work stations.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures, and follow safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operation of ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, weighing and measuring.
• Food safety practices, including temperature monitoring and sanitation.
