Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new sales and expand existing accounts for DACHSER, a leading global logistics provider. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the growth of our freight forwarding services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers through cold‑calling, prospecting and hunting activities.
• Develop and grow existing accounts to achieve assigned sales targets.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with current customers, monitoring industry trends.
• Accompany overseas visitors on sales calls and present quotations.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and regular sales reports.
• Update CRM data and monitor market developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in transport & logistics, international trade or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or a comparable logistics environment.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proactive, energetic and detail‑oriented with an independent work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
