Cashier Clerk – Retail Operations

About the role

Lane Crawford is seeking a Cashier Clerk to join its back‑office team. You will be responsible for accurate sales transactions, handling cash and foreign currency, and supporting retail events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cashiering services, including POS terminal floats and credit‑card settlement report checks.
• Perform daily cash closings, prepare cash reports, and manage money to be banked.
• Handle currency exchange, traveller’s cheques, and customer cheques with the appointed foreign‑currency exchange agent.
• Set up credit‑card terminals and utilities for road‑show or trunk‑show events.
• Issue and process electronic gift cards for corporate customers and at POS terminals.
• Process refunds for e‑business transactions and evaluate unusual sales transactions for validity.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of cashier experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to work shift duties as required.
• Familiarity with sales audit processes is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel for daily POS and credit‑card settlement reporting.
• Competence in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
