Category Manager, Asia Procurement

About the role

Manulife is looking for an experienced, commercially‑mindset Category Manager to lead Asia Procurement for infrastructure outsourcing, cloud and broader technology services. You will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and manage strategic suppliers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with business and technology priorities.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives, from market assessment through RFP/RFQ, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation.
• Partner early with Enterprise Technology & Services and other stakeholders to define the optimal sourcing and commercial approach.
• Negotiate supplier contracts that balance cost, scalability, service quality, flexibility and risk.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk and Technology teams to ensure governance and compliance for cloud and AI engagements.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and support performance discussions.
• Deliver measurable procurement value, including savings, cost avoidance and improved commercial terms.
• Represent Asia requirements in regional and global technology agreements.

Required profile

• University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 15+ years of procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain experience, preferably in technology services.
• CIPS, CPSM or equivalent certification is an advantage.
