Civil Project Estimator

About the role

The Project Estimator (Civil) will support the Estimating and Planning team in preparing competitive tender submissions for civil engineering and major infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for cost estimation, analysing quotations and liaising with subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare analytical cost estimates for tender preparation, finalisation and submission.
• Manage quantities and Bill of Quantities (BQ) in coordination with internal and external parties.
• Review tender documents and drawings, raise queries where necessary.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, holding meetings to clarify pricing assumptions.
• Develop cost plans aligned with the Bid Manager’s construction methods and tender programme.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a contractor environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimating software such as CANDY.
• Good IT skills for data analysis and reporting.
