Client Relationship Manager – Diversified Industries

About the role

The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for Diversified Industries will own a portfolio of Hong Kong accounts outside Banking, Financial Services and Insurance. Reporting to the Client Partner, the CRM drives revenue growth, manages the P&L and ensures delivery excellence while positioning Cognizant as an AI Builder for clients across retail, manufacturing, communications, media, technology, healthcare and life‑science sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Own assigned accounts, delivering profitable growth through accurate revenue, margin forecasts and P&L management.
• Identify and pursue new business and expansion opportunities, from prospecting to negotiation and contract closure.
• Develop and execute sales plans and solution proposals in collaboration with Service Line Specialists, using Cognizant’s sales methodologies.
• Map client challenges to AI‑enabled offerings, orchestrating technical and delivery expertise to create winning solutions.
• Partner with delivery teams to maximize renewal business, optimize resource mix and manage scope changes to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with proven experience in account management and P&L responsibility.
• Ability to operate across multiple industries, understanding the specific needs of retail, manufacturing, communications, media, technology, healthcare and life‑science markets.
• Leadership qualities and a client‑first attitude, capable of influencing internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing new and adjacent business.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using sales planning tools and frameworks (e.g., Cognizant Way to Sell, Client Value Framework).
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled service offerings and ability to translate them into client solutions.
