Co-op Internship 2027 - Asia Regional Distribution Strategy

About the role

Manulife's Asia Regional Distribution Strategy, Insights and Transformation team is looking for a 6-month co-op intern for its H1 2027 intake (January to June 2027). You will support initiatives across distribution strategy, transformation and digital innovation as part of a regional business management team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of distribution strategy across 11 Asian markets, helping align priorities and contribute to meaningful change.
• Assist with strategic projects driving innovation and transformation, from large-scale programmes to tactical initiatives.
• Tackle complex business challenges in a fast-paced environment within a capable team.
• Explore the life insurance business, deepening understanding of wealth, health and distribution management.
• Build and apply AI-enabled approaches to accelerate analysis, improve decision quality and develop stronger strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics or a related field, with exposure to business strategy, transformation and financial services through academic or professional experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work with senior executives and colleagues from different functions.
• Strong command of written and spoken English in a business context.
• Preferred: prior internship in management consulting, strategy and transformation or business management, preferably in financial services or life insurance; fluency in an Asian language.

Required skills

• High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, deriving insights from data and producing compelling slides.
• High proficiency in commonly available AI tools, such as prompt design for research, slide and spreadsheet creation, copywriting and brainstorming.
